Salim Nourallah ‘A Nuclear Winter’ Release Show

August 9, 2023

June 24th was the kind of night that left Dallas, TX, buzzing with music magic. Trust me, this live show was a summer highlight, hands down. It was all about Salim Nourallah and his album drop party for “A Nuclear Winter.” And let me tell you, this album wasn’t just a banger on vinyl, it was a whole sonic explosion live on stage at Sons of Herman Hall. This was the gig everyone had been waiting for.

So, picture this: Salim takes the stage, and he’s got Treefort 5 and the one and only Marty Wilson-Piper from the Church right there with him. Talk about a musical dream team. But that’s just the beginning. Before all this musical goodness, Ottoman Turks rolled in and kicked off the night with some serious energy. They set the vibe just right. And then, outta nowhere, Buttercup slides in and keeps the groove going strong.

But wait, it doesn’t stop there. The Deathray Davies hit the stage like a thunderstorm. These guys – all seven of ’em – led by the unstoppable John Dufhilo, turned the whole night on its head. They threw down hit after hit, old and new, from their massive 20+ year playlist. I’m talking songs that folks have been grooving to for ages, mixed with fresh beats that got everyone moving.

Now, here’s the kicker – a good show’s all about timing, right? You gotta get warmed up, then get knocked out by the headliner. Well, this night had that magic in spades. The opening acts had us all primed up, ready to roll. And when Salim Nourallah hit that stage, it was like a musical explosion. The crowd was hooked from the get-go, lost in the music, and trust me, nobody was left disappointed.

This wasn’t just another gig. It was an experience, a wild ride that had the whole crowd on their feet, clapping, dancing, and feeling the music deep in their souls. The delays, the anticipation – it all built up to this incredible night that we’ll be talking about for a long time to come. If you weren’t there, you missed out big time. But for those of us who were lucky enough to be part of it, we got to witness music history unfold right in front of our eyes.
